For awhile now I’ve wanted to find a puppy. I’m afraid of dogs, for those who don’t know. I do like dogs and would love to have one, but I can only have certain kinds because of my fear and discomfort if that makes any sense. I am looking for a small dog that will not get any bigger then a cat. One with kind eyes that will be good with children and one that is medium energy level, because they are easier to train. I recently found one, but the lady didn’t show up and didn’t get back to me after saying it was ok and we had been set to meet. It’s quite odd. So now the search is on again, for a puppy.
This was the puppy I was going to get, but looks like lady flaked out on me. LAME

Boys and dogs usually go well together and its a good idea to get a small one since your afraid of dogs and it will be in the house more than likely. Not all small dogs are good with children however. Might want to ask an expert or research small dog breeds. I have a small dog and he would be horrible with kids.

yeah thats what my mom said. She said she doesnt see me with a black one, lol she sees me with a tanish one which is weird cause I just got an email from a family that has a tannish male puppy.
May I be blunt and suggest you hold off getting a dog. Go and volunteer with an animal sanctuary that takes abandoned dogs, also find a friend to get to know their dog, take it for walks. You may save yourself and a future pet much anguish if you find such a dog is not for you. It feels to me your desire for a puppy is impulsive and liable to lead to regretful consequences.
I have a sister with a dog and have spent time with it. I grew up with dogs as well, so I do know what to expect with having a dog.
Big dogs are overwhelming, but I am good with little dogs.
